THE EXECUTIVE BOARD
Robert Pedersen, FOUNDER & CHAIRMAN, Active in field coodination for McCain/Victory 2008 working with both GOP tables and College Republican groups,he was most recently a McCain Alternate to the Republican National Convention in St. Paul. He has been active in Republican orgnizations and campaigns for 30 years, is both a former College Republican President, and member of the College Republican State Board. His work on campaigns have incluced volunteer coordination, media relations, campaign strategy, and field coodination. A former financial analyst (MBA,USC) and Industrial Equipment Buyer, he is currently in property manangement. He has a B.A.in history and political science from Asbury College. He has traveled widely for research and has written extensively on Central Europe's transistion from Commuism.
Kurt Schroeder, CO-CHAIRMAN 1st VICE-CHAIRMAN & RPLAC LIAISON, is a long time party-activist with particuar interests in field work and precient walks. He worked agressively for the McCain/Victory 2008 campaign in several states includng California and Nevada. In addition, Kurt, who has his MBA, is active in international charities which takes him regularly to the Ukraine, Central Europe and Latin America. Kurt is an alternate member of the 47th Assembly District Board.
Karen Bonadio,2nd VICE CHAIRWOMAN; MILITARY AFFAIRS LIAISON & MUNICIPAL LIAISON. Until the McCain 2008 campaign, during which she was active in campaign field work and served as a full Delegate to the Republican National Convention in St. Paul, Karen was a registered independent. Her father is a retired U.S. Marine Colonel, and Karen continues to be highly involved in veterans and military affairs, having recently spear-headed the endorsement of the Military Voting Rights Bill before the Los Angeles City Council and accompanied her father to the U.S. Captial where they met with Senators McCain and Lindsey Graham and lobbied for veterans rights. Karen is also a key player in the campaign to free "Billy the Elephant." Daphne Turban, MEMBERSHIP SECRETARY is a well known party activist, a member of the RJC, and was highly active in the McCain/Victory 2008 campaign. She has a particular concern for Israel and animal welfare issues.
Jeffrey S. Barry, TREASURER is a business consultant and tax attorney, advising and representing clients in a variety of industries with respect to complex tax issues. A native of Los Angeles, Jeff recently returned to the Los Angeles area after studying and working on the east coast. He is an active Republican, particularly concerned with national security and tax issues, as well as matters impacting Israel and the Middle East.
